Description:

During April and May, clusters of common blue violets (viola papilionacea) spread from shady woodland areas into sunny fields and meadows. Because the tenacious three to twelve inch tall perennials with heart-shaped leaves prolifically regrow from hardy root systems, they are considered weeds by many gardeners.

The grass withereth, the flowers fadeth; but the word of our G–d shall stand forever.

- Isaiah 40:8
