Description:
From early summer until frost, the blooms of the butterfly bush (Buddleja spp.) attract visitors such as this tiger swallowtail. Flower clusters in shades of red, blue, white, violet or yellow adorn arching branches that will grow from 3 to 15 feet tall and 3 to 15 feet wide. Requiring full sun and well-drained soil, the butterfly bush is hardy in zones 5 to 9.
