Description:
North of Jerusalem’s Temple area, just inside the Lion’s Gate, lies the Pool of Bethesda. As described in the fifth chapter of John, the pool was a gathering place for those seeking a cure within its waters. It was here Yeshua healed a man who had been an invalid for thirty-eight years. Today, the excavated pool area, along with the nearby Church of St. Anne (built in approximately 1140 AD) are part of a serene cloister welcoming pilgrims from around the world.
