Description:
North of Jerusalem’s Temple area, just inside the Lion’s Gate, lies the Pool of Bethesda. As described in the fifth chapter of John, the pool was a gathering place for those seeking a cure within its waters. It was here Yeshua healed a man who had been an invalid for thirty-eight years. Today, the excavated pool area, along with the nearby Church of St. Anne (built in approximately 1140 AD) are part of a serene cloister welcoming pilgrims from around the world.
Jesus said to him, ‘Get up, take up your bed, and walk.’ And at once the man was healed, and he took up his bed and walked. - John 5:8,9
